Your Bone Structure/Frame

Here is one way of determining your frame size, as adapted from the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company charts. With your fingers straight and your palm facing your side, bend your right elbow to ninety degrees. Using your other hand, place your thumb and index finger on the two bones that stick out on either side of your elbow, and record the distance between your thumb and index finger. Use the chart below to match up height and frame size. If you're below the number for your height, you've got a small frame; if above, a larger one. If its in the range listed, you're normal.

Height Inches
5'4'' - 5'7'' 2 5/8" - 2 7/8"
5'8'' - 5'11'' 2 3/4" - 3"
6' - 6'3'' 3 3/4" - 3 1/6"
6'4'' plus 2 7/8"+
What frame type are you?
