The big news is that GOLF Magazine has named T.J. Tomasi, Ph.D., Program Director of GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers in America. In this new position, Dr. Tomasi will coordinate all non-editorial endeavors of the Top 100 Teachers, which will depend on the establishment of various committees to coordinate, launch and execute the many exciting ideas. The potential of this group to positively shape the way the game is taught and played is without limits.

TJ is one of the most published professionals in the world with articles that appear in all the major golf magazines including Sports Illustrated, Golf Magazine, Golf Digest and Golf Tips Magazine. He is the author of a weekly syndicated golf page called Insider Golf that appears around the world as well as the author of 13 books.
Dr. Tomasi holds a Ph.D. in Education, a Masters Degree in Education and an undergraduate degree in Sociology. It is estimated that he has given over 50,000 lessons.
He is a Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher and has held that distinction for a number of years. This designation is awarded every two years after a rigorous selection process by the editors of Golf Magazine. With over 26,000 golf professionals, this makes the Top 100 Teachers a very special group.
Tomasi is a co-author of the book The LAW's Of The Golf Swing, voted Best Instructional Book by Golf Magazine in 1999. The LAW's states that there are different body types, thus there should be different swings depending on your body type. The LAWs teaching model has appeared twice on the cover of GOLF Magazine and has been featured in many other golf publications. In April 1999, Tomasi began authorship of Insider Golf, a Universal Press Syndicate feature. UPS is the name behind such stars as syndicated columnists Dear Abby and William Buckley, and newspaper page and internet sensations such as The Motley Fool and NASCAR. Tomasi's page currently appears in over 100 newspapers and websites reaching a large audience each week.
Tomasi is one of 13 professionals chosen by Golf Tips to an elite group of instructors that appear regularly in Golf Tips Magazine as well as being a Senior Instructional Contributor.
He is also an authority on biomechanics and has been a presenter at educational seminars hosted by MIT in Boston, the PGA of America and the LPGA. He was the guest instructor at the Merrill Lynch Skins Game in Palm Springs in 2005 featuring Tiger Woods, and Annika Sorenstam and he does numerous golf outings for major corporations such as Wachovia, Pioneer and Deutcha Bank. In 1999, GOLF Magazine appointed Tomasi chairperson of their worldwide Science & Golf Research Committee in order to find the most innovative and exciting research in golf.
